what is love?  really.  what has it become.  is the same love we have for our God and people the exact way we feel about the other things we say we
                                                                    love?
the things of this world.  we throw the word around like it means nothing. 
      love is devotion. choice. adoration. worship.

God gives us a perfect picture of love. his son giving up his life for us.  thats love.

patient
       kind
            not jealous
                       humble
                              selfless
                                    mild-tempered
                                               truthful....... 

        always protects, trusts, hopes, perseveres.  it never ever fails.

people use it to get closer to other people... or to express themselves when... really... we have no idea the potency the word holds.  the word itself...it warms and breaks hearts. it ruins and makes days.  it's an exaggeration of reality to some... and a realization of brokeness to others. it's real and its fake.  for some it means obsession or infatuation and for others... it's a lifestyle. it's hurt and its fabrication. it's beauty in it's utmost form. its a miracle.  it's a lie.  its so different for everyone. why did we make it that way. it should be constant.

God is love 

There's a love that transcends all that we've known of ourselves

nothing significant.

i love autumn. it's perfect for lots of layers, scarfs but no coat yet.  and the typical "fall colors" are my favorite colors on the wheel.

hmm. usually i dont post unless i have something to write, but i dont have anything significant to say right now  really.

God is blessing me like crazy since about 7:40 last night.  it's so amazing how everything in your life can seem like it's so chaotic, almost falling to pieces in areas... but the peace of God transcends all of it.  then today i had a great lunch with 2 people that i love getting to know.  and my mid-term exam was postponed. 

liz and i set goals yesterday... & it's such a great feeling for me to have a list of goals to run after.  read the entire bible, memorize more scripture. trust in Him and stop worrying.  be wiser with my money. to be consistent in praying for summer plans, wisdom, vision and clarity.  there's lots.

ephesians 3:20 now to Him who is able to do immesurbly more than we could ask or imagine according to His power that's at work within me. 

so rad.

life's simple pleasures... too many to name.

1. opening the windows in my avacado green owl room while its storming really hard, making my roomate, ashley, sleep with me, then falling asleep to the rain.

2. q-tips and ear candles...

3. electric blankets, in the winter, with the windows open

4. music, all the time. i love it.

5. amazing worship by myself, in my bedroom. its amazing to realize His presence when i'm all alone

6. vintage shops and estate sales... overwhelmingly amount of awesome old stuff.

7. painting or making pottery, while listening to good music... rachel bishop or lately mourning september. its so relaxing and freeing.

8. smiling so big and so long that my face hurts.... like tonight. b/c His joy is greater than anything in life. :)

9. making pottery.

10. writing... poetry, lyrics, or whatever. then making up chords on my guitar and singing to the lyrics even though i have no idea what i'm doing.

.we get so caught up in feelings... "i don't 'feel' like God is near" "i dont 'feel' like God loves me" " i dont 'feel' close to Him."  "i dont 'feel' like i did the right thing." i think our FEELINGS cause us not to trust God.  if we completely trusted God w/ our lives, we wouldn't worry about alll of our feelings...  we wouldn't worry about making the wrong choice all the time.  if our lives were recklessly abandoned to Him, we wouldnt doubt where we're at because we'd know God is so in control and that our hearts are being aligned to Him.  if i trusted God more, how much more beautiful my heart would appear to Him.  i have to choose to love God everyday... to choose to be committed to Him and the things He's called me to, knowing His plan is so perfect.... jeremiah 29:11 He knows the plans He has for me, plans to prosper me and not to harm me.

man, the spirit of God is so apparent.  how worthless are the worries of my day.

nothing else matters in this life. nothing at all.
